We are heading to the very impressive Ballroom & Lounge at Saltdean Lido for an enchanting Christmas Makers Fair this November, carefully curated to showcase over 40 unique makers & artists. It will be the perfect opportunity to shop small and pick up some Christmas gifts and goodies.
What to Expect:
Explore a curated selection of quality one-of-a-kind gifts, homewares, art, fashion, chocolates and decorations
Support local makers and artists and find the perfect presents for your loved ones.
Enjoy a boozy beverage or hot drink from the bar, or visit the Deco Cafe for coffee and cake or a delicious brunch/lunch - the perfect treat after a few hours shopping.
Partake in one of our festive workshops in the studio.
Please note: Exhibitors will be situated in the Rear Ballroom & Lounge which is situated on level 1 within Saltdean Lido. Both rooms can be accessed via the lift or stairs in the main entrance of the Lido.
The Workshop studio is situated in the Club Room Studio on the ground floor.
If you’re seeking a hands-on experience, then head to the festive creative workshop studio which will be situated in the Club Room Studio. Take part in some festive crafting, in a relaxed, friendly environment and take home seasonal decorations of your own making – no experience necessary!

christmas wreath making with bunches of sussex
Get creative with Bunches of Sussex who are hosting a very special Christmas Wreath Making Workshop!
You will design and make your very own wreath, with the support and guidance from specialist florists.
The class is open to all ages and abilities - everyone is welcome (but littles ones will need supervision with using the snippers)
So, bring your friends and family or come solo and make new friends as you bond over some festive crafting!

the deco cafe
Deco Restaurant and Cafe launched in Spring 2024 in the newly renovated Grade 2 listed building of Saltdean Lido, and if you haven’t visited yet, why not make a day of it? They’ll be serving up delicious breakfasts and lunches and so some lovely cakes too! Visit their website for more info/menus.
Situated in the Rotunda with views out across the pool, the café is found on the ground floor and the restaurant upstairs (next to our fair). Their menus are seasonal and they source their produce as locally as possible.
There is also a bar in the Ballroom, which will be open to visitors.
where to find us
Saltdean Lido is easily accessible by car, bus or even by bike or on foot!
If you are driving, there are two free car parks at the Lido. Please ensure you enter your registration number on the tablet if you are staying for more than 2 hours.
There are several buses that stop near the Lido including routes 27, 47, Coaster 12, 12A. You can plan your journey here.
Upon arriving at the Lido, please head to the main entrance and take the stairs or lift to the Ballroom & Lounge. You’ll then enter into our magical Christmas Makers Fair. There will be volunteers/event stewards who are there to help too.
