Introducing... Spectrum Fibre

This week we've been talking to Briony from Spectrum Fibre, she's a specialist in hand dyed yarns and will be joining us at our Easter Boutique Market in Shoreham on March 31st.

So Briony what is it that inspired you to set up Spectrum Fibre?

I was inspired to learn to dye yarn after developing a passion for knitting three years ago. I started dyeing yarn for fun to create vibrant colours that I could knit with. This quickly grew into a business when people started asking to buy my yarns. I now work part time at the hospital and dye yarn for the other half of my week. Knitting and dyeing yarn have become my absolute passion and I have enjoyed meeting so many amazing people through the fibre community. My yarns are now stocked in several shops in the UK and America.

IS there anything you enjoy most about attending events & markets?

I love attending yarn shows and craft fairs as it's a great way to meet other creative people in the local community, and also to meet some of my lovely customers face to face. Through creating modern, exciting yarns, I hope to bring more people into the world of modern knitting and crochet.

Will you be offering anything special at our Easter Boutique Market?

I will be bringing a range of yarn bases from sock yarn up to chunky weight yarn in lots of vibrant colourways. I am also excited to be stocking a range of project bag enamel pins and some limited edition polymer clay necklaces made by my talented sister that coordinate with my colourways.

If you like what you see, you can browse the Spectrum Fibre Etsy shop and see which colours and bases Briony uses.
