Introducing... BeauBottletops

One of the wonderful designers joining us at our events is BeauBottletops; jewellery maker and art designer from Brighton.

Tell us about how you started this bottle top adventure...

I started BeauBottletops in 2015 when I craved a creative outlet alongside working full time. Creating pieces full of hope and optimism enabled me to maintain my profession in the social care field.

Where did your passion for art begin?

Throughout my studies for a Bachelor of Science in Psychology I have remained attached to the art world and exploration of techniques for therapeutic release. Incorporating freedom, self-discovery and a love of life and its intricacy, my pieces are bursts of energy with the observer seeing what they wish. I graduated from the University of Southampton in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, having focused on the benefits of creativity and creative outlet for young adults with learning difficulties/disabilities for my dissertation, I decided to start BeauBottletops, my wish is for creative outlets and pieces to be accessible to all, to promote the art process as a therapeutic outlet and simply bring some energy to your eyes, homes, shops, pubs and personal spaces and many more.

So why bottle tops and not a different medium?

I have a passion for recycling and reusing items that may ultimately be discarded; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. No two BeauBottletop pieces will be the same, each is handcrafted with patience and devotion, it is a privilege to be able to share them.

What is your creative process behind BeauBottletops?

My inspiration comes in many forms, from snooping round local antique and charity shops, to traveling the world and observing other techniques and ideas. Travelling allows me to endeavour to capture the places I visit in a piece, or if I’m feeling ambitious within one BeauBottletop.

BeauBottletops is a unique jewellery brand, but they also commission bespoke art pieces; for weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. So if you're looking for a truly bespoke and one of a kind gift then look no further. Browse their collection of previous commissions for inspiration: BeauBottletops Commissions.
