Introducing... Fioray Designs

This week we caught up with Bella from Fioray Designs. You'll find Bella and her unique collection at our event on Nov 12th at the Brighton Open Market.

So Bella, what is it that inspired you to start Fioray Designs?

Fioray is born out of seeing the inspirational creativity of new designers across the country and exists to promote and foster that talent. We wanted to offer a platform to some of the best designers that hadn't yet made inroads commercially, with no pressure to compromise their creativity for larger production numbers or turnaround times. It's about "shopping small" and "shopping ethically" and consequently money from each sale is donated to the charity Arts For All. That was a big motivation behind Fioray, having a platform to champion undiscovered talent while at the same time raising money for such a worthy and life changing cause.

With such a unique startup, where do you see the business heading in the future?

We want to endeavour to raise as much money as we can to support the tireless and life changing work of Arts For All, a charity that encourages and cultivates creativity in all. Operating in a disadvantaged part of London they believe that through creative achievement people can grow in confidence and self-belief, gain new skills and experiences and have countless cases of adults who have spent time with them then moving into employment, as well as giving children and young people direction and allowing them to see a brighter future for themselves. They are ideals we share at Fioray.

We know this is your first time at a Paper Daisy event, but what do you love most about attending fairs and markets?

Craft fairs give a wonderful opportunity to meet customers face to face as well as meet other creatives and see their amazing work.

Will you be offering anything special at the Open Market event on November 12th?

There will be products not available online, some promotional prices on the day, as well as a 10% discount code for any purchases made online afterwards with the code: CHRISTMASMARKET
