What a great day we had at our first Brighton Market! And, the first of many markets that we are organising at this beautiful venue in Brighton; the Brighthelm Centre.
The Brighthelm is a hidden secret for many, I for one have just used the garden as a short cut, without really appreciating what it has to offer. But we managed to put Brighthelm on the map in Brighton, with it's beautiful bright auditorium making the perfect venue for our makers market and pop up cafe, allowing visitors the chance to sit and sample the delicious baked goods that were on offer - Like the delicious hot cross bun muffins from Bunston Bakes.
The sun was shining, there was local live music to entertain us all whilst sampling some yummy street food and cake, plus a whole selection of amazing traders to buy something unique from. It was a great atmosphere all round and we hope you all enjoyed your day! We even raised over £65 for our chosen charity, Chestnut Tree House, which is a great start to our year of fundraising.
One of the highlights of the day for us was the feedback. We had various visitors seek us out and compliment us on the event. Many asking whether it would be regular, and when the next event would be (June 10th by the way :P ).
For us, we wanted the chance to keep the creative and independent sector alive in Brighton, and we're glad it has paid off. Brighton is renowned for being individual, and being home to so many creatives and small independent businesses. We're glad to be able to give you all a new platform to exhibit your work and meet your customers, in a wonderful central location. It's what all of our hard work is about.
